Mobile Landing Pages: A Checklist for Better Enquiries
Published by Spark Digital India
A mobile landing page should explain the offer quickly and make the next step easy on a small screen. Visitors arriving from SMS, WhatsApp or an advertisement should not have to guess whether they are on the right page. Start with the specific service promised in the campaign, then help them decide whether to enquire.
Match the page to the campaign
Use a headline that describes the service and audience in plain language. Support it with a short explanation of what the visitor can discuss or request. If an advertisement is about Bulk SMS, the destination should address Bulk SMS rather than opening with an unrelated brand story. Keep the business name, contact route and important offer conditions easy to find.
Make the mobile layout readable
Review the page on a narrow screen before concentrating on the desktop version. Headings should wrap without clipping. Paragraphs should be short enough to scan, and buttons should be easy to tap without zooming. Navigation must open and close reliably, including submenus. Avoid placing a floating chat button over the primary enquiry action.
A simple content order is useful: offer, key details, relevant evidence, enquiry action and common questions. Use original evidence when available; do not add invented testimonials or performance claims simply to fill a layout.
Keep assets light and the layout stable
Resize images for their actual display area, use an efficient format and set image dimensions so the browser can reserve space. Load below-the-fold images lazily while prioritising the main visible image when appropriate. Review third-party scripts before adding them, because each can create additional work for the browser.
Google’s Web Vitals guidance explains loading, interaction and layout stability metrics. Test representative pages and use real visitor data when it is available. A local preview or a single speed score does not prove that every customer will get the same experience on a mobile network.
Test the entire enquiry journey
- Open the campaign link. Confirm the destination, service and any tracking parameters.
- Use the form on a phone. Check labels, keyboard types, consent text and clear validation.
- Submit a labelled test. Confirm whether the enquiry is stored and whether the team receives it.
- Check the fallback. Phone and email actions should be usable when online submission is unavailable.
- Review the response. Assign ownership and confirm how the team follows up.
A visible success message is not sufficient evidence of email delivery. If a form only prepares an email draft, state that clearly and check that the visitor knows they still need to send it from their email app.
Use SEO that supports the reader
Give the page a descriptive title, one clear main heading, helpful section headings and meaningful image descriptions. Link to related service information when it helps the decision. Google’s people-first content guidance emphasises content that serves users. Repeating a location or keyword in every paragraph is not a substitute for answering the visitor’s questions.
Frequently asked questions
Should I remove every image to make a page faster?
No. Keep images that explain the offer, but size and load them appropriately.
What should I test before sending campaign traffic?
Check the page on mobile, the campaign link, navigation, phone action and end-to-end enquiry delivery.
